Q. How long does an inspection normally take?

A. An inspection generally takes approximately 2.5 hours for a 2500 square foot bungalow or cottage, but could take a bit more or less depending on the complexity of the building.

Q. Do I need to be present at the inspection?

A. No, however it is to your advantage to be present to see any deficiencies for yourself at the time of the inspection.  If you can’t make it, the inspector will meet with you at the time of the delivery of the report to go over any questions or concerns.

Q. What does the inspector look for?

A. The inspector is looking at the major components of the building including: Structure, Foundation, Roof, Electrical, Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, Flooring, Insulation, Signs of water infiltration, Landscaping etc.

Q.  How long does it take to book an appointment and receive my report?

A. Normally an inspection takes place within 48 hours of the initial contact and the report is generally presented within 48 hours after that however if the inspection and report are required sooner, arrangements can be made.
